Do you remember the first time you saw the White Witch in Narnia? The tall queen with golden locks, skin as white as snow, and piercing blue eyes on a silver chariot was Tilda Swinton. But she is no white witch, she is a Fashion Goddess!
There is more about this talented British icon that had our jaw dropped every time she comes out on the big screen portraying difficult roles impeccably with her acting prowess like a cinematic chameleon, she is a favorite fashion icon as well! Designers just love to dress her modelesque frame. Magazines hail her beauty because it is almost androgynous. To celebrate her, here are my favorite Tilda Swinton fashion moments.

Here, she donned an ochre dress by Loewe at Marrakech International Film Festival in 2019 that looked effortlessly sublime in her slender frame. The dress has billowy sleeves and a pin-tucked bodice that framed her body and a black velvet ribbon that gave an accent to the dress
With messy hair and less make-up, Tilda proved that you don’t need to put on eyelashes, prominent brows, wigs, and elaborate gowns to look glamourous. Here she is wearing wide-leg cropped pants and a tailored jacket from Chanel at Berlinale Film Festival in Germany.
Who can wear a mullet and still look elegant and feminine but Tilda! We rarely see her with longer hair these days but the bob frames her unique face most subtly. It just matches her whole persona and adds more character to her style. Here, dressed in Lanvin at the Oscars, Tilda captivated the press with her elegant fashion sense. The drapey dress is fluid against her slender body. Certainly, there is no one like her.

She looks like she came out straight out of the magazine. If glamour and elegance have a face, it will be Tilda Swinton. Her fashion choices on the red carpet do not conform with the contemporary, she brings her own and she slays it every single time. I love this look in Maison Margiela designed by John Galiano. The elaborate pleats detail and wide cinch waist trenchcoat look elegant on her.

Yes, and just like that with an oversized tailored cloak or jacket dress by Vionnet, Tilda Swinton is always fashion-forward and brings new looks to the table. Not many will have the body or looks to carry this style as this style is not for everyone. Although this has a youthful and playful vibe, almost urban-pop, it requires a thin frame to give this dress justice. You have to exude that spirit to deliver the look as perfectly as Tilda.
We are not used to her wearing too much make-up and a different do but here she is if she had one, and she looks as gorgeous as always, just like this editorial shoot with Glamour Magazine. How we wish we would age graciously like her. At 61 years old she still rocks the magazines and editorials.
