Have you ever looked at celebrities and social media influencers and said ‘Ah I wish I had that skin…that perfect skin’. So let me tell you that there is no such thing as ‘perfect skin’. Your own skin is unique in its own way. Nobody’s skin is flawless. Everyone has flaws in their skin. But that doesn’t at all mean that you shouldn’t take care of your skin. Everything needs care and love, and so does your skin. So do love it and take care of it in order to make it better.
So in this post, I’ll be sharing a very effective yet simple skincare routine, especially for teenagers. Always remember that your skin doesn’t need ALOTTT of products. Less means more. You do not need extensive products in order to maintain good skin. Just using the right products and using them consistently can help achieve a HEALTHY SKIN.
The only products you need in your skincare are a mild cleanser that is not too harsh and stripping, a toner for hydration, a good and lightweight moisturizer, and last but not least a sunscreen with high SPF which does not leave any white cast. DO NOT EVER SKIP SUNSCREEN!
There is not much of a difference between an am and pm skincare routine but simply note that sunscreen should not and cannot be used at night time. NEVER EVER! So here goes our skincare routine:
A.M: 1] wash your face properly with your cleanser for about 1 to 2 minutes and pat dry. 2] Tone your face correctly to hydrate and nourish your skin. 3] Apply a generous [but not too much] amount of moisturizer on DAMP skin for moisturizing your skin. 4] Lastly, finish off your routine by applying 1 or 2 finger lengths of sunscreen on your face and neck. Please do not ever skip sunscreen as it can cause much harm to your skin!
P.M: 1] Try to double cleanse your face each night with either an oil-based cleanser followed by your normal cleanser or just wash your face twice with your normal cleanser. 2] Properly tone your face at night as well. 3] Follow it up with your moisturizer again on damp skin.
And voila! that’s it. Trust me if you only follow just this simple routine while being consistent, I am sure you will get great results!
