Just wearing your foundation and bronzer can make your makeup look heavy and dull. Adding Face Blush to the apple of your cheeks instantly uplifts your overall appearance.

Placement of a Face Blush

The place where you put your blusher plays a significant part. It would help if you were mindful in placing your blusher as you want to lift your face instead of drags down. Putting the blusher in the right place is the key to uplifting your face and giving you a gorgeous youthful appearance.

Place your brush to your cheeks and blend it way back towards the contour you have already done. It will draw your blush in the upward direction, naturally elongating your face. Thus making you look lighter. Just don’t sweep the brush on your face; lightly dab it in the circular motion and movement in the upward direction. Blend nicely and try not to go too low.

Blush For Different Face Shape

Every face shape is different, so how and where to apply the blush matters precisely. It depends upon the shape of your face. Here is a general guideline about applying a face blush according to the different face shapes.

Round-Shaped Face

All you need to do is apply your blush in an angular motion. Start blending slightly lower from the apple of your cheeks to your hairline to give a shape to your bone structure. It will enhance your feature and make your face look slimmer. Don’t blend towards your nose, as it will make it look rounder.

Square-Shaped Face

People with square-shaped faces usually have similar widths of forehead and jawline. Therefore to soften the edge of your jawline, you need to apply blush to the apple of your cheeks in a circular motion. Cover your cheek from the edge of the brow to the hairline to get a more flushed look.

Diamond-Shaped Face

Diamond-shaped face people have a higher cheekbone with an angular and pointed chin. So you will need to soften your feature by applying blush on the top of your cheekbone, blending towards your ear.

Oval-Shaped Face

You have an oval chin, and prominent cheeks considered most versatile for applying the face blush. Apply it on the cheeks and lightly blend towards the temple in a circular motion.

Heart-Shaped Face

The heart-shaped face is a face with a narrow chin and prominent cheekbones. Apply the blush from the lower part of the apple of your cheeks in a semicircular motion towards your hairline and the temples.
