Hi Fashionistas, I recently had a chance to catch up with Vikas Singh, a well-known fashion and fitness model. Vikas has been in the modeling industry for several years and has worked with some of the biggest brands in the industry. When did you start your journey as a digital creator?
IÂ started my journey as a digital creator and fashion model in 2019.
What are the Challenges you have faced to be in this position?Â
The challenge that I faced back in 2021 was not getting enough audience and engagement even after posting regularly.
What Does Fashion Means to you?
Fashion to me is my identity. It’s how I want the world to look at me, it’s a way to empower yourself and influence others. To me, fashion is a metaphor for life. I feel the most alive and connected with the world when I’m wearing something that makes me feel more…creative, more fascinating, strong, or complicated. The easiest way for me to feel like everything is brand new and that anything is possible is to change my clothes. Hence, the goal of fashion is to awaken your sense of presence and aliveness. I detest it when people wax overly philosophical about clothing, but this is actually the case!
How has Indian Fashion changed over the years?
Western clothing has gained increasing popularity, This has also led to the development of the Indo-Western style. Bollywood has also been a major influence in fashion around the subcontinent, especially in Indian fashion. Long before the fashion industry ever started to make its first moves, the Indian textile sector was growing. Long before the time of colonialism, India had begun exporting cotton and silk. In 300 BCE, India learned how to make silk from the Chinese. Many locations across India became become hubs for silk weaving. They were mostly locations like Delhi, Cochin, Gujarat, and Varanasi. Silk swiftly gained popularity among the nation’s royals because of its softness and opulent feel.

 I don’t really expect anything from it, Men’s wear is all about simplicity and classÂ

Western clothing gives a modern and engrossing look that enhances the overall looks and personality of the wearer. western dresses are the first choice for the people of this era, but the charm and glory of traditional Indian clothes are still alive and gaining popularity.Â

 Tips to stay fit and healthy?Â
 Be physically active for 50 minutes most days of the week. Focus on a well-balanced diet that is rich in protein and healthy fats
