Eugene Lee Yang is an American-born influencer with South Korean roots. He was born in Texas and went to UCLA where he wrote and directed six short films that covered many social and political topics from gay marriage to school shootings and mental health.

Early Career of Eugene Lee Yang

He started his career at BuzzFeed in the video branch where he was allowed to explore new methods of storytelling and video production. He along with Keith Habersberger, Zach Kornfield, and Ned Fulmer started the YouTube channel The Try Guys and his career exploded.

Today he is a top male fashion influencer, filmmaker, and actor with devastating good looks, amazing talent, and a flair for over the edge fashion. His Instagram account boasts 2.2 million followers and a quick scroll through reveals why.

Here he reveals his manly side with tight cuffed jeans, a comfortable button-up collar shirt and side zip work boots. I particularly like the watch and beard ads a nice touch.

Here he is in a pose for Vogue Man and he is not afraid to cross-dress from time to time and is the only openly gay member of the try guys. Personally, I love the outfit on him, With a black bodysuit coupled with a red flowing button dress style outfit. He looks amazing and is man enough to pull it all off.

This is the outfit he wore to the Met Gala. I have to admit I love the look, in a vintage Dior Homme tuxedo by Hedi Slimane and a White dress shirt he looks amazing. I like how he topped it off with a heavy silver necklace, white nail polish, and burgundy high heel cowboy boots. He was an absolute show-stopper.

Finally, here he is in his hip look. with a MERCI sleeveless T-shirt, Drawstring pants all capped off with a heavy set up black military-style workboots. A thin silver bracelet and necklace top off the look.

He has won many awards including the 2015 Male Breakout Star of the Year, the 2019 Human Rights Campaign’s Visibility Award, and in 2020 he was given the Phenom Award for LGBTQ and Activism. I would strongly recommend following him on Instagram and hopefully soon right here on Our Fashion Passion.
