Today on my blog, I’ll discuss the top five items you should bring on a winter vacation in order to stay warm and look good doing it. Winter travel season is in full swing, so whether you’re hitting the slopes, strolling through a winter wonderland, discovering adorable Christmas markets, or strolling through lovely Hallmark movie-inspired towns, you’ll need to pack your suitcase appropriately for your cold-weather trip in order to stay warm. Winter travel packing can be challenging, but it’s not impossible. Although cold-weather clothing is heavier and might take up a lot of room, careful packing can help you make the most of your luggage without compromising warmth. This cold-weather packing list includes fashionable items.
COATS AND JACKET FOR WINTER VACATION:
Coats and jackets are at the top of my list because they are necessary while traveling during the winter and maybe excellent fashion choices if you choose the appropriate ones. For any winter holiday, coats and jackets are a must! The kind of outerwear you should bring, meanwhile, will depend on the climate where you’re going. While parkas and down jackets are ideal for winter activities, trench and teddy coats are fantastic for a sophisticated, layered look. Down coats are not only incredibly warm, but they are also simpler to pack into luggage.
SWEATERS FOR WINTER VACATION:
The second item on my list is sweaters, which are also very important when packing for winter vacations. You will undoubtedly need them to keep warm, but when choosing the right ones, you can also make them fashionable. I love a good oversized sweater any time of year, but they’re especially great for winter vacations! Sweaters are excellent for layering and reclining, and they’re also simple to style for both dressy and casual looks.
WARM LAYER FOR WINTER VACATION:
Warm layers are the third thing on my list since they may be quite pleasant to wear and can also give off a very trendy look. Warm layers are crucial when preparing for a winter trip! They are convenient to pack in a bag, and you can adjust their number according to how much body heat you want to generate. Your winter packing list should include long sleeve outfits and bottoms, thermals, and sherpa-lined leggings (a lifesaver for extremely chilly climates!).
Winter boots are number four on my list because they are necessary to bring while traveling on a winter holiday since they keep your feet warm. There are many adorable designs of winter boots to pick from. I typically take 1 pair of casual boots or booties for regular wear and 1 pair of waterproof snow boots for winter sports. While knee-high boots and over-the-knee boots were prevalent last year, cowboy boots are unquestionably one of 2022’s most popular footwear trends. You’ll be happy to know that they are still a go-to for this season though, due to celebrities like Gianvito Rossi and Kurt Geiger.
Accessories required to complete the packing for a winter holiday are the fifth and final item on my list. Winter accessories not only finish off a cute ensemble, but also keep your extremities warm in chilly climates. I always make sure to bring a neutral beanie (it goes with any outfit), a thick, fluffy scarf, one set of light gloves for everyday wear, one set of heavy gloves for winter activities, and a pair of high wool socks (they keep your toes warm and you can fold them over at the top of your boots to keep snow out).
