As much as I love playing around with different trends, there is one in particular that will always be a part of my wardrobe – leather. Although leather pants will always be a classic to me, it’s been in the spotlight on repeat this season, and my favorite way to wear the trend is through pants or leggings. I just love how well it goes with my existing wardrobe – and that it offers a dressier option to denim. Leather pants are available in a variety of silhouettes from joggers to skinny pants and wide-leg trousers, which all look so chic. If you’re looking for some new styling tips, I wanted to share 10 different ways to style them throughout winter.

1. Oversized Sweater & Booties

I love mixing contrasting textures together, so I’ll often throw on chunky knit-over leather pants. This combination is not only cozy and casual but can easily be dressed up for a winter night out.

2. Leather Moto Jacket

Wearing head-to-toe leather is such a big trend right now, and you can try out the trend by layering a lightweight moto jacket on top of leather pants. I’ll usually add another texture to break it up. Feminine pieces like a silk or lace blouse make a leather on leather feel more stylish and effortless.

3. Puffer Jacket & Sweatshirt

Leather pants are perfect from a practical standpoint too! It is pretty thick on its own which is great for extra insulation on super cold days. Pair them with your most heavy-duty winter coat – like a puffer jacket or parka. This pairing ends up making a chic, effortless street style look.

4. Ski Resort Chic

If you are heading to the slopes this winter, or if you just want to layer up, leather is actually a really cute option for the cabin. In this outfit, I am wearing all my favorite snow accessories – beanie, puffer jacket, sweater, and cozy boots. The leather pants are the icing on the cake to make the look complete.

5. Warm Neutrals & Over The Knee Boots

I’m a big believer that rules are meant to be broken, and in the realm of fashion, I love wearing black and brown together. I’ll often throw on a neutral faux fur or teddy coat over leather pants and over-the-knee boots, and it never fails to look chic.

6. Blazer & Sneakers

Leather pants have an edgy vibe to them, so they look great with more tailored pieces. I love layering up in a smart blazer because the result is always classic and looks great on everyone. You can always play up the street-chic vibe by adding sneakers and a baseball cap.

7. Trench Coat & Graphic Tee

Even the more timeless, traditional pieces in your wardrobe get reinvented when paired with leather pants. For instance, my trusty mid-length trench coat looks fresh and updated when worn with leather.

8. Combat Boots & Shearing Jacket

I absolutely love wearing my combat boots during this time of year. Tucking some leather leggings into them and throwing on a knit top is a no-brainer outfit that is perfect for everyday wear.

9. Cropped Sweater & Heels

Believe it or not, leather pants can also be adapted for the office environment too! Their versatility makes it easy to wear with your workwear. A cropped sweater or button-down blouse can be thrown over high-waisted leather trousers. All you need to do is add heels for a polished touch.

10. Bodysuit & Pumps

When in doubt, a feminine bodysuit never fails to impress. A sheer bodysuit is perfect for a night out or the weekend because it’s instantly dressy. However, you can always opt for a turtleneck bodysuit for a more conservative look.
