Today I will share some most memorable met gala looks of all time referred to as the biggest fashion night. Met gala is always been the annual platform for celebrities to showcase their fashion style, photo shoots, and immense glamour. Met gala looks are the signature looks that turn out to be the talk of the town for fashion analysis.

WHAT IS MET GALA?

Met Gala is a fundraising gala held for the benefit of the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute in New York City. The met gala was founded by Lambert in 1948. She was also known as the founder of the Council of Fashion Designers of America in 1962. It takes place every year in the first week of May. People who are from the fashion and entertainment industry are allowed to attend this event. The funds gathered at the event are used for institution operations and annual exhibitions.

From Rihanna’s iconic yellow gown to Kim Kardashian’s Givenchy maternity look and Lady Diana’s elegant navy blue slip dress here are some of my favorites and most iconic met gala looks of all time.

1. RIHANNA HAUTE COUTURE YELLOW CAPE GOWN

Rihanna walked the met gala red carpet in 2015 wearing an extravagant cape gown surprising the audience with her bold choice. The theme of the 2015 met gala was China: Through the Looking Glass. The designer of this famous yellow cape gown was GUO PEI a Chinese designer, best known for her unique and unconventional dress-making technique. The dress was later got the name The Yellow Empress Dress. The dress was not just huge yet it also weights almost 50 pounds. Rihanna sound a bit nervous and later revealed that she felt like looking like a clown after seeing other people dressing.

2. KIM KARDASHIAN FACELESS MET GALA LOOK

You would have been surprised by reading faceless? Yes, faceless. Kim Kardashian enter the met gala in a black gown from head to toe wearing a Balenciaga black mask. It is one of the most challenging looks opt from any celebrity. The theme of the 2021 met gala was In America: A Lexicon of Fashion. It was designed by Balenciaga’s creative director Demna Gavasalia. It is not remembered as the best look of the event but can be one of the most strange themes looks

3. LADY GAGA HOT PINK GOWN MET GALA LOOK

Lady Gaga never fails to surprise. Her looks and outfit are always been the talk of the town because of her controversial choices. Her 2019 Met Gala look is one of the over the tops outfit of all time. The singer entered the venue with a long trail along with her team of dancers helping her. The outfit was designed by Brandon Maxwell who often designs her outfits. She swapped her dress 4 times in 15 minutes. Her makeup and accessories she was wearing everything were a perfect Lady Gaga look.

4. BILLIE EILISH GUCCI CORSET 

Billie Eilish is an American singer and fashion icon. She is been praised for her looks lately. Her Met Gala look for 2022 was not the less as she wore Gucci customized corset. A creamy satin skirt with a beautiful square cut neckline with her perfect black bangs and diamond embellished choker. The fabrics used in the gown were all recycled. She kept her makeup subtle.

5. CARDI B GIGANTIC RED DRESS 

Cardi B always stuns us with her style. In 2019 she wore a huge red gown with a long trail covering up the red carpet from head to toe that took 35 people to take her to the venue. It was a gown made up of tulle and silk organza, which she paired with her bugle-bead headpiece. She was praised by many people for being in the limelight of the event. The iconic dress was designed by Thome Browne an American fashion designer.
